It isn't hard to see what makes the Asian-American market attractive to advertisers. Many Asian Americans are young (up to three quarters are the first generation in the United States), have families, and have money to spend. The hallmarks of the demographic include high household incomes, a high level of education, and a household size that is second only to Hispanics. There's also a high dependency on native languages. The lucrative opportunity in the Asian-American market is one of the biggest surprises to come out of the 2010 census, of the 900,000 residents in Fresno County, 9.0% call themselves Asian, which includes Hmong, Laotian, Indian and other Asian groups. (U.S. Census, 2010).
